Why did the Houston Police Officers Union include the word 'discretion' in their letter after stating they wouldn't enforce this mask wearing crap?

Discretion gives them the out for not enforcing it. In the end they put it on the officer and whether they want to enforce it or not. It’s can be argued it’s a breach of the first amendment. Which can open officers up to investigation. And none of them want that.

Taiwan has one of the fewest number of cases in the world, along with one of the fewest number of deaths. There’s a reason for this - they were prepared.

Everyone wears masks there, they have thermal screening of everyone entering the country and they have a nationalized healthcare system that is fine tuned for responses against pandemics.

Why we don’t learn from them is beyond me.
