The S&W Model 36 has been around for along time. It has served many police departments well. With the spate of quality .38 defense loads on the market these days, it can still be a lethal performer. Shell capacity leaves a little to be desired though.
I am also one of those guys that prefers the feel of an all steel gun to that of the current lightweight plastic guns that are so popular these days. To paraphrase Quigley "said I didn't care for them, didn't say I didn't know how to use them".

    Cool collection.

I have a Seecamp 32 and my wife has a Tomcat 32. We both like our respective mouse guns. I've been toying with the idea of ordering the Seecamp 380.....

I wish they'd make a Tomcat in .380. I suspect the spring design can't handle the recoil. Their frame can barely handle the .32

I put a body guard on layaway. I shot one then a LCP and a glock 42.

Glock 42 is barely smaller than my shield. Trigger is nice. Glock grip angle pisses me off. Pass.

LCP stands for limited comfort pistol. The trigger guard rubs my finger skin. If I shot more than 50 rds at one time it might pull the callous off my pointer finger. Smallest of the mice I tried. Worst of every category I could think up besides size.

Body guard feels good in my hand. No weird discomfort. Long trigger but it didn't feel stagey. Sights are good for the size. I liked it.

380? Looking at one myself. Old enough to prefer hammer fired and the price is right for an edc.

My only mouse gun is a Sig P238. It's easy to shoot well. Good sights and not much recoil. I've committed myself to carrying a larger gun recently. We'll see how that goes when summer hits!

I wanted to like it. I had one.

    Heavy trigger.
    Breaks firing pins.
    Laser activation is a joke.

Good sights and are reliable overall.
Yep - all the above and the longest damn trigger pull I've ever ran into.
But my wife likes it. So if she likes it enough to shoot it and carry it then all is well.

Take down lever is a bitchface. I'm gonna shoot the hell outta it until it sees things my way.

    Trigger is safely loooooong.

I'm shooting fmj out of it because it's a 380.

If it pisses me off I will let everyone know, but for now-
    it works,
the second strike capability makes it fun for dry fire,
it fits in my fishing shirt pockets, my coat pockets and behind my wallet in my back pocket,
i found some lead-free non Remington fmj on sale for 17.99/50 at academy,
most importantly: I'm happy with it still on day 2

My go to pocket gun is the Sig P238. It is deadly accurate. And, probably the most fun pistol to shoot at the range. The only problem I have is that I only have three magazines and it seems like I spend half my time reloading.

The 9mm's I have are Sig P938 and a Kahr PM9. They are about the same size. I like the P938 better, but can't hit the broad side of a barn with it. I shoot the Kahr PM9 better, but the just can't get used to that long, long trigger. Thinking about selling it.

I've never held one. The "trigger" is interesting. How does it work?
Like any other single action trigger.

They are neat, well made little guns - built like the proverbial Swiss watch - but I can't hit beans with mine at over 10'... if that.
