Does anybody else have multiples of the same gun? How do you justify it to yourself?

    I have:

    2 - Beretta 92FS Vertec
    2 - Beretta PX4
    2 - Stoeger Cougars

No justification, other than I like them.

    Two cz52s
    Two FEG,
    Two Sig Mosquitoes,
    Two .22 revolvers,
    Two SKS
because I usually am the one that has to supply the guns when I take family to the range and for the oddball stuff having two makes it easier to figure out where the @#@! part goes if you have another to look at as well as having a ready supply of parts or backup gun when things break.

My girls all have more than one pair of black shoes.... why even think of justification... it is what it is...

Once I figure out the gun(s) I like it is nice to have more than one

I have 3 Glocks in different calibers and I'm trying to get another SKS. I'll probably end up with another AK soon also.

    Helotes!
I have 17 different Mosin-Nagants...and about half as many SKS rifles/carbines. Four M1911s, and several other firearms that I have more than one variation of.

I don't need justification, just desire...and the cash!

I've got a P2000 9mm and a p2000 .40 I'd like a P2000 .357, and will have one some day. I've often though if I had unlimited funds, I'd buy a shooter (any top shelf gun) and one to save unshot. But just pipe dreams.

OMFG 17?! Dude you should sell me one...you can afford to part with one! Hahahah.

I have 2 Glocks, different calibers, different sizes. I'm toying with the idea of getting a G19 to accompany my G26 since they can share the same ammo/mags.

My buddy has three Glock 22s...

    2nd Gen, 3rd Gen, 4th Gen RTF...

I don't get it, myself. I'm happy with just about any 3rd Gen Glock but I can't stand that RTF crap on the new ones.

I have two GP 100 in .357 Mag. hence the screen name. Besides, they are just so damned good I had to get another one.

I just bought two more Sig P6's, bringing the total to three.
    Reasons:
    1. Because
    2. Because I like them, and carry one.
    3. Because they're cheap (about $350 each right now)
    4. Because I remember when Yugo SKS's were $200, and I only bought one. Not making that mistake twice.

One of the benefits I've found is I have a test-bed gun to try new modifications and some kitchen table gunsmithing on without ruining my carry gun. so far, I've only done drop-in replacements (a 16lb hammer spring makes that trigger feel awesome- just gotta function test it now) and I'm thinking of turning one of them into a competition gun.

I have several favorites that ended up being duplicated. Just never really felt the need to justify it to anyone.
