Obviously not 45-70.What round for no cattle?
What round for no cattle?
I reckon not.Shut the hell up.
I wanted a Marlin Guide Gun in stainless / laminate for a long time. But with the recent change in reputation for them, I am now leaning towards the Henry. I like the stainless, but want the big loop. Not sure if thats an option for that gun.
Nope. Op is still a loser.I saw activity in this thread, and thought the day had finally arrived.
I don’t know if it’s true, but I was told that after QC started falling, and sales started tanking, they chose specific models to focus on QC improvements and get the bugs worked out to try and save the brand. I was also told the 1895 was the first model they chose to pour all their efforts into so improvements showed up there first.1895 guide gun I bought new from a gander in early 2016 has been 100%. I think their QC has been elevated higher than what it was after freedom group, but I’ve not shot it much in the near 4 years I’ve owned it if im honest.
Ask Vaquero what he thought, he shot it lol

I do recall now. That gun has a decently smooth action. No problems cycling. Shouldered nice too.
Didn't I offer to buy that from you?
I'm so jealous of you. That's my dream gun and I hope I can get one someday.I owned the Marlin Guide Gun in 45-70. Sold it to buy the Marlin 1895 Trapper in stainless with 2" less barrel, big loop lever and same round count. Handles and shoots smooth as glass. My favorite gun to shoot by far,
