    Drill baby drill!

The new shale oil and gas formation known as Wolfcamp, which is adjacent to the oil-rich Permian region in Texas, contains an estimated mean of 46.3 billion barrels of oil, 281 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and 20 billion barrels of natural gas liquids, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

I heard on the radio that they were looking at building pipelines from the Permian region to the oil refineries around SE Houston. Even though the pipelines would cost $40b+, they would be more cost effective than using trucks to transport the oil.

All in all...good news for Texas

Interestingly, as of last week the US is a net oil exporter

Good to know we have our own needs covered if need be.
But I’d rather burn everyone else’s oil first.

That’s all east and south from Midland, so it shouldn’t be too bad for you. Stanton will get much worse, and Garden City, and Big Spring, and Sterling City.

I’ve seen gridlock in Mentone & Orla. This infrastructure is about maxed out.
