At a 100 yards, you should be outside.
Speak for yourself. I really do not enjoy 110 degrees and a 40 mph wind when shooting.

They are 25 yard lanes not 45. Quickly expanding to 46 lanes but all are still at 25 yards. Pistol, Carbine, Shotgun and Full Auto are all good.

he specifically told me the rifle range indoor would be 45.....since you seem to be connected to him - maybe you can correct him so the next call he makes has a different result

Reds indoor range in Austin has a 6 - 100 yard lanes, so its possible and liked. I agree shooting outside in the extreme heat becomes exhausting quickly and It would be nice for sighting in as well. I was hoping for it having atleast a few 100 yard lanes.
I worked for the security company that was attached to the DFW gun range, we used the short range for multiple targets and moving which was nice a lot better than just shooting straight at a single target. The employees were nice and helpful, enjoyed hanging out and shooting the shit.
Hey, Sgt. I was affiliated with DFW and SWGPS, too. I was a co-owner of Swg for a period, and ran the training at the range.
Says the guy who cannot afford it.5K for a membership is just retarded...7.5K and 10k are for idiots willing to pay I guess...

The High Caliber Memberships are not for everyone. The country club membership concept is becoming more common for new ranges. There will be people that want an exclusive environment and for everyone else there will be a plethora of public lanes. In 2000, I had a client that purchased a $150,000 membership to Dallas National. Dallas National only had individual memberships and his wife wanted to golf too, so she got a $150,000 membership of her own. Their membership gave them access.

Since no one is forced to go there and join, when someone uses language like "retarded" and calls people who would sign up "idiots" it tells me all I need to know.how would you know whether he can afford it or not?
just because you can pay for something doesnt mean it's a smart investment
Depends. If you plan on shooting there for like 20+years, its a steep up front cost, but gives you a lot of benefits to enjoy during that time and assuming prices will go up, having a transferable one that you might be able to sell for more than you paid or transfer to a family member...5K for a membership is just retarded...7.5K and 10k are for idiots willing to pay I guess...
My In-Laws also belong to several exclusive Golf Clubs in DFW, and the difference is they are not open to the public. This club is open to the public, so their is little exclusivity. I and others I think cannot see what high-level membership benefit is. Yes we saw the list, but I myself do not see why anyone would pay for that list, in fact I do not even see why anyone would go membership for a 25 yard range at all.
Good luck though, more ranges is always better than less ranges.
Don't suppose you know if they are hiring?
I appreciate the good luck gesture. Don't forget you have exlusive lanes, you are always first for the others, you have showers, lockers, conference room to entertain clients, free food and beverage, etc. Check out Scottsdale Gun Club and their success with a similar product.
