If somebody asked me what my "rate" was I'd respond with a paygrade. Different service, different lingo. *shrugs* The Navy and Air Force are notorious for the use of acronyms.

Just the Air Force and Navy?

Seems like every group has their own way of talking.

0352 = runs through the jungle catching bullets.

Having friends and family that are currently over in Afganistan: stuff like that pisses me off. At least have the fucking respect to loose a few pounds. I wouldnt even dream of claiming to have served in any branch and I at least make a half assed attempt to stay in something that in a drunken haze might be mistaken for atheletic shape. Just further evidence that this country needs an enema.

    UPDATE
Upon futher consideration this guy is even a bigger doosh bag. If I were so brazen as to throw on a uniform with patches and everything I might at least take the time to perhaps research what I was putting on. Perhaps look up something like MOS 0321, MOS 0311, MOS 0317. Couldnt find specific designators for Seals, Delta or Rangers but I suspect those are just units and not actual occupational specilities (see - I uses google good). What a lazy dumbass.

Delta is an SF MOS, the unit is the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment. Rangers are just a specialty unit, they have a standard combat MOS as far as I know. SF has the 18x MOS, ie. 18A - Officers, 18B - Weapons Sgt., etc.

According to a friend of mine in the 19th SF, the guys that are Rangers, Delta, etc. all will reflect that on their DD-214. It won't necessarily say they were Delta, but you'll see all the schools, ie. SERE, Jump, Q, Selection, BUD/S, etc. which can tell you a better story of who they are. Delta doesn't recruit just out of the Army, they recruit all over.
