That is true. The M1As made by Springfield Armory are a known quantity.It is...and it's not. Mainly depends on the quality of the barrel and major components on the AR10. The M1 is a pretty consistent, known quality, since all new M1A's are made by Springfield Armory.
AR10's are NOT all the same...not by a long shot...(pun intended)
