Nike shot themselves in the foot with this one. That turd hasn't sacrificed ANYTHING and doesn't understand the meaning of sacrifice.

I've reached out to some people I know who work for Nike. I'm waiting to see if I receive an answer.

Yeah you missed the Michael Jordan era, where Nike dethroned Converse (worn by Larry Bird and Magic Johnson) as the brand to wear. "Be Like Mike", "it must be the shoes", etc.

I probably have 20 pairs of athletic shoes and 17 of them are Nike’s. I’ve owned 2 pairs of Adidas the last 20 years and zero rebook’s.

My obsession is probably from MJ because I had several J’s back in the day. I guess I’m a bit of a Nike fanatic because they have had some shoes that I continue to buy when they release new versions.

I've heard back from one of my contacts at Nike. He's high enough in the food chain to be a regional VP.

Most of the people at Nike think the ad is brilliant. There's a small minority that thinks that Nike just stepped on their dicks with cleats on. The decision was above my contacts pay grade. Thankfully his region is more focused on true football and they don't even know who CK is.
