I've been in Dallas with my wife for the last few days and the weather has been warm enough to not wear a jacket for a change. So, I've been open carrying. I've had a couple of people ask me what type of handgun I'm carrying, including one of the waitresses at the hotel I'm staying at. No strange looks, so I'm thinking that it is not a big deal for most in Texas or they are quickly coming to terms with it.

I support the OC right, but, it's just not me.
Being stared at to "make a statement" is just not me.
I'd rather think 1/2 of everybody around me is carrying concealed. That is comforting.
Answer:
Concealed Rohrbaugh R9 or Sig 938 if dressed for something small.
HK USP .40 double-action-only or HK P7M8 if dressed to hide a near full-size.
Shame the glorious little Rohrbaugh R9 is now defunct.
Understandably the market for a $1,195 micro-compact was always limited.
Snatch one if you can. The only 2 I've ever seen for sale are mine.

Wishful thinking... With only about 4% of Texans having a CHL, the odds of having 1/2 of everybody around you carrying is probably only going to happen at a gun show.
And even *there*, I'm not so sure...Still, I have to say that I'm glad that our legislators at least gave us the *option*. Those 100F days with 100% humidity really suck when you have to wear an extra layer of clothing to be concealed.
Surprisingly, the waitress that was admiring my Para today and saying that it was great to be in Texas was black. So, those who think that the blacks would not like open carry due to an intimidation factor are apparently wrong. The issue is Texan vs panty-waste liberal, not black vs white.

Probably depends upon what you are carrying, but I figure that at a minimum, I wear a colored t-shirt, an OWB holster, and a vest over the top of it.

Through the holster. The belt and holster are both desantis.
You're welcome. There is an optional paddle attachment. If I don't plan on wearing it on my belt for the day, like during the work week, I put it in a nemesis pocket holster.
