The other night I was watching the local new (Austin) and the commentator as they are no longer Journalists, was reporting and his exact words were "Austin had it's 54 th traffic fatality resulting in 54 deaths ". I mean really has there ever been a traffic fatality that didn't result in death. I don't think they even know what they are saying they just read it off the teleprompter rather it makes any sense or not. Its what news has become I guess.

"There were 3 people killed in a traffic accident today...2 of them seriously"

    Yes, I've heard that before....

that kind of falls into natural selection category
you'd better put that thought process behind you in the future , we don't want to have to put on your tombstone....
    "He hated hospitals"
I got to the point where I didn't have any fight left in me. When I left the hospital after three days, I looked in the mirror and didn't even recognize myself. Took me a week to fill in enough to look more like my ugly self.

The doctor told me my one lung was a "textbook" case, because they usually only see it like that in a textbook.

The last thing I need is for the bronchitis to turn into pneumonia. I've had pneumonia about a dozen times in my life and it's nearly killed me more than once. So, yeah, I take this stuff pretty seriously. After I run out for some more meds this morning, it's back to bed for me.

Hope you get to feeling better.
Get on those meds & get some rest. That bronchitis aint nothing to mess with.

I had a case of walking pneumonia a few years ago.
I seemed to feel fine... other than a slight cough & sore throat.
After about a week i started coughing up blood, went to the DR.
They did chest x rays, came back & said i had walking pneumonia.
They said it started from a mild case of bronchitis.

    Morning.

I think I've turned the corner on this bout of bronchitis. I still feel like a truck hit me but my head is a little less stuffed and I'm not coughing uncontrollably this morning.

It's the little things in life, I suppose. :)

Bronchitis sucks. There’s nothing worse than not being able to catch your breath or breathe comfortably.

I just found out she was killed yesterday in a horrible crash. She was on a few shows I liked such as Overhaulin' and Mythbusters. View attachment 182992

That’s wild you would post that.

I got a call from my mom a few minutes ago to tell me that a woman I was once close with and who has been a friend of my family since we first met died this morning. She was my age. So beautiful, inside and out. What I remember most is her smile. She was always happy.

Her name was Doris, in Dawson Texas. RIP girl.

I remember a group of us sailing a big Hobie cat at night with a Chinese lantern hanging off the sail, moon shining on the water and skinny dippin. I was in the service home from leave and she was breathtakingly beautiful. So long ago, but I can remember it as though it was yesterday.

    Yep, terrible..

I'm still trying to figure out how she wrecked on the flats.
I'm thinking it must have been a mechanical failure.
