    Just found out an acquaintance passed unexpectedly. He was on a ladder in the basement of his house and fell. His wife found him unconscious fairly quickly; he was airlifted to a trauma center but never regained consciousness.

    Just a reminder to be careful, it’s not the fall that kills you, it’s the sudden stop.
    And people worry about COVID.

    Ladders are deceivingly dangerous.... the annual numbers don't lie.

    Approximately 300,000 die annually from ladder falls (most are under 10'), but then again, 19,000 die annually while bathing. No mention of any ladders in the shower.
