So I don't understand; its ok for a black actress to play a white historical character but if a white actress does it, its white people trying to white wash history...... :banghead:

While I don't much care what race an actor is, I think it's disingenuous to sacrifice a [real] character's race at the altar of perverted progressivism.

December 9th, 47 years ago, my grandfather passed away. I was 11 years old at the time, and to this day, still miss him dearly. I sometimes think of all the things he could, or would have taught me as I got older.

My grandmother passed in 2009, and miss her very much as well. So many things I miss about her everyday.

Going into this time of the year, I do get a little sad and start missing both of them and wished they were still here for the holidays like when I was a child.

A picture of them in late 1930's, when they went to the valley for work, not long after they got married.

“Our aim was not historical accuracy”.

    Really?

    I won’t be watching.

In other health-related news, I just got back from the doc and I'm borderline positive (will need to re-confirm next April) for both diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma. Also, cataracts have gotten started. NONE of this was evident at my last checkup, 13 months ago.

After all these years of being nearsighted but correctable, when my eyes decided to go to hell they also decided to take the express train.

    :(

I found out last Wednesday that I need to see a specialist to check if I have glaucoma. I have a hemorrhage near my left pupil. This wasn’t evident in my appointment in January. My appointment is on Feb 4th.

I was still chewing on that when I saw your news.

    Best wishes, benenglish

Anticipation of the shots in the eye were way worse than the shots. They were actually easier than the big puff of air the shoot at your eye.
