I always hated O'Hare. Not as much as LaGuardia, though. They were both really bad in different ways.

OK, folks, the floor is open. Let's hear your opinions -

Which major airport in the continental U.S. is the worst and why?
    Baltimore.
Maybe I just went through on a bad day, but I was elated that I had drawn Pre-Check to get out of there, only to find they had shut down that line completely. And the "security" line that resulted was almost the entire length of the terminal. Only saving grace, if you can call it that, is that people ahead of me kept jumping out of the line as they missed their flights. I don't ever remember being sol glad to get out of an airport. And I have done O'Hare a number of times.

Find myself performing surgery on 60 year old kitchen cabinets, making room to replace an 18" dishwasher, with a 24".

A few years back, when asked if it was possible by my recently deceased Marine buddy, I foolishly said "anything is possible" - (forgot his wife was standing there)
    .
His widow is now holding me to that.

One of these days the shop dummy'll learn to keep his mouth shut ...

    Sarge, this for you!

Morning misfits! The girls and I took advantage of the last weekend to tour the Battleship Texas before it goes to dry dock for repairs, I take every opportunity that I can to educate them about history.

We had a picnic on the stairs of the San Jacinto Monument, the tallest free standing masonry column on the planet. Of course I made them read the writing on the wall so they (hopefully) understand what this local site means to this great nation. Ask either of them what happened on these grounds and I will be proud to hear them tell you "we kicked their asses!".

Love it ... my parents did the same thing back circa 70 years ago with us kids.
Back in the days of the old San Jacinto Inn.
