    One of two operational WWII gliders (of this type) in the US.

    Wood frame. As minimalist as you’d expect a glider to be.

    We’re renovating the trailer just enough to make it roadworthy.

    Belongs to a business client, her husband is an Air Force tanker pilot and they’re both aviation enthusiasts.

    This was a result of a mid-air with a Luftwaffe fighter. The favorite tactic of the Luftwaffe was to fly head on through the formations at high speed with guns blazing. The German plane was destroyed in the collision. By the way, the tail gunner was in his position when the collision happened and was trapped there due to the floor of the fuselage being ripped out!
