Good Q. (Bath) Tub is jargon for the two seat version of a single seat fighter.

F15B/D = Tub version of F15A/C (E models designed as coupe)
F16B/D = same for the Viper
F18B/D = same for Hornet (G models designed as a coupe)

Tubs are not approved for operational missions.

ETA: the Eagle was the last ‘man’s’ plane for the AF. Tomcat was the last ‘man’s’ plane for the Navy. Single seat fighters with all mechanical flight control systems.
