I compared it to my 92fs. There are definite differences in the cuts and angles on the feed ramp and barrel. This one, the 92s, was built for fmj and handles it in a beautiful manner!
Happy to do it. These are part of history. Knowing they have been carried daily by a GOOD guy, sharing our values on what is right, and what is wrong, for 4 decades makes me proud to own it.
As a southpaw, I don't even care that it has the butt-mounted mag release.
(I heard through the grapevine that some of the 92S in this lot are ex-Carbineri issue but haven't confirmed that.)
SADLY, I don't know that answer & as of yet haven't found the information, by an Internet search.
Btw, I was told last week by a vendor's rep that some of the best looking 92S Beretta pistols were Italian Navy or Air Force property & were seldom issued/used.
