Respect - made me notice the bass line and get a bass.

Flat and Scruggs/Jimmy Brown the Newsboy - likewise with the guitar.

Flat and Scruggs/Foggy Mountain Breakdown - likewise with the banjo

Sound of silence, though admittedly I love Distrubed's version better.

There's a band called Bobaflex that has a really good version, too - came out several years before Disturbed's version, and it's kind of a rock cover of the original with that guitar line behind the vocals that Disturbed didn't quite follow. You can find their cover on YouTube - it's worth a listen.

The Who's Quadrophenia has always been my go-to album when I'm feeling down...

Never heard a radio station that is brave enough to spin it.
Got it down loaded to "a driving music" CD back when music was free.
Every once in a while that CD somehow gets in the player?!
Can't keep foot off accelerator (= 3 tickets)!

Texan and Jason Isbell’s wife. Amanda Shires (Lubbock) is an amazing fiddle player.

Amazing fiddle player and an awesome voice.

"Isbell and the 400 Unit" is a good band...but when Shires is with them it goes to a whole different thing.

She makes him a better man.
