I have a pair of see through scope rings designed to mount directly to the 10/22 receiver and maintain the ability to see the iron sights. I also have an exra extended mag release. This is the thumb release kind, NOT the one that uses the index finger and follows the contour of the trigger guard.

Sure does.. instead of sticking your finger in there to activate the release, when you go to grab the magazine with your reaction hand your thumb will be right on and only takes a little familiarization. Shit thats a big word.
