Gents! It’s been a long while since I’ve been on the forum... life has been busy- My job consumes my life- I got married- Im remodeling our new house- my wife is donating a kidney to her dad- it’s never ending! So I figured... why not build a car with all the extra free time I have...
1983 Porsche 944- Lt swap. I’m beyond pumped about it too.
She’s got an Lt engine, bored 30 over, cammed and tuned. No idea what to expect for power yet. It’s about 50lbs lighter than the factory 4 banger that these came with.. also, over double the power.
—-So far—-
boxster s rotors
Lexus ls430 calipers
C5 vette bellhousing
Sanderson headers
Renegade hybrids brake master kit (it JUST fits)...
Chevy 2500 clutch slave
Lt1 flywheel and pressure plate
944 turbo radiator
Tuned ecu
3” custom Mandrel bent exhaust
Forgive the garbage pictures. When these were taken I didn’t have much room to stand back and move around. That’s changed though
She’s a dirty, dirty girl...
Engine is in. I still haven’t started it
Wiring harness is currently in a state of chaos
Dynomat everything
Seats are toast, but the carpets are back in.
I’ll be getting a set of racing seats after I have the dash recovered. Then I’ll be able to finish out the interior and start making sure all the bells and whistles work.
She’ll see some track time eventually. I got the bug after running in the Big bend open road race with a buddy in His Shelby GT 350...
In the future- the wheels will be changed, the suspension will get coilover shocks. The flip-up lights are going away because the mechanism wont fit in front of the engine anymore... as I go, it will see more and more performance parts- I just want to get it moving so I can change things accordingly.
In a perfect world, aside from the orange color and the horrible wing, this is my end game.
Ideas and suggestions are all welcome!
