LOL! My chili is totally meatless, and I still get lots of compliments on it, even from meat eaters. It’s all about the taste and texture...Made "chili" last night. Quoted because I made it for Mrs Whistler & her sister, tasted okay but tomatoes and beans!?! Thought I taught her better.
Beans in chili seems to be a big topic in Texas. I always end up putting them in because I am cheap and have a bunch of kids. Adding beans makes it go further.Made "chili" last night. Took the last bit of brisket, chopped into cubes, and put it in the fresh batch of black eyed peas the wife made. Fresh batch of cornbread hot out of the oven.
Really good eating. She'll be fixing that again.
Sounds interesting.Sweet potato hash with rib meat and Royers Mesquite Smoked mustard as the sauce. Cheddar cheese on top.
