Never said anything, but Madison County being an old stomping grounds, was strongly considering going until coming down with a strep infection a week or so ago.

Feeling like shooting today, but cough is still strong, and that would not do in the presence of such stellar company.

It was a motley crew that showed up...

...and wandered about aimlessly when not shooting or shooting the bull, as usual.

The young fellow in the picture above is metalcutter's son. Just for the record, Chuck no longer has anything to be embarrassed about from last Hicksville. The kid did to me EXACTLY the same thing I did to Chuck. What goes around comes around, I suppose.
The range looked good. On the far right is the axe-head for splitting bullets but I'll let someone else tell that story.

I brought a pistol in .35 Remington...

...that was a literal blast to shoot. I handed it to a random guy at the range (not part of our group) and he seemed a little uneasy. Notice how he's leaning against the post.

My son & I had a great time! Great weather, great bunch of guys, cool collection of "fishing weights" and some good and not so good shooting! You want anymore than this for a Sunday in January, you're just getting greedy. Nice meeting everyone and thanks to everyone who let us try out their fishing gear.
