I have a similar story. 20 years of "i always wanted one of those" "thats a deal i cant pass up" "i only want a part of the gun is how i ended up with those" "got to have two for comps" "I dont have that version"

I ended up with 23 870s, a dozen savage 520s, a love for anything pump acting and fine engraving. In total close to 100 individual items. My taste had changed over the years, it was time to down size. With a shift in face to face laws, gun shows being less popular. it took two years to get down to 35 individual items. A total PAIN. Not really worth it looking back

    Keep them all
    Get a safe
They don't take up much space
I did this for years. Ended up with a 48 and 26 gun safes. Everything was in vacuum sealed bags and packed as tight as possible. It was Comical. I dont remember not remembering whats in the back and not seeing for 10 years

My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment?

    Scary thought…

When I got shipped out to Saudi Arabia for Desert Shield, I flew in the belly of a C-141. Came back in one as well.

The only time I was on a Navy vessel was as a civilian taking a tour.

C96=one of my bucket list guns to shoot

The C 141 Starlifter was a miserable plane to be a passenger within. They had to issue earplugs and you sat backwards.

We were the SLF off the Tripoli during her first deployment. 1967. Going and returning in a Continental Airlines 707 with pretty stewardesses. One even gave me the word about one of my squad who tripped a big one seven months earlier. I didn't believe her until she showed me his address stateside. Oh and the cake fight was fun too. The cab ride from El Toro to LAX with a major who wasn't happy about the cake icing on my shirt seemed to take forever. LOL!

We never got earplugs and we sat sideways. Many takeoffs but no landings. 82nd Airborne Division.
