Just picked this up the other day. Its a Howa 1500 HCR chambered in 6.5 creedmoor. The aluminum chassis is made by Accurate-Mag. It has a 24" threaded barrel and came suited with a LUTH-AR MBA-3 FDE buttstock. The glass is a Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 FFP. Its a 5-25x50 MRAD scope. Hope y'all enjoy! I have it's twin in black with a Gen 1 Viper. It likes Hornady American Gunner 140 BTHP. 3/8" group at 100yds. I broke it in by the book. PITA but it shoots.

You just described my day at the range the first time I shot it. I had a 3/8 group with that American Gunner from 100 yards too.

Hell yeah! I've always wanted to shoot one of those... I was hung up on the American flag rifle when it came out... I'm use to Savage's... I was afraid it would be too different.

    Enjoy!

But it comes with a coozie!
    I ain't paying $3K for a coozie.

Don't get me wrong. The technology seems good and the price is low compared to many competitors. Heck, I wouldn't throw it away if someone gave it to me. I might even grow to love it.

    But, dadgum, it's ugly.

The comments by TGT Members echo pretty much all the comments I heard from folks in the shop that saw it.
    My thoughts on the rifle....
It does seem to be well engineered and built, although not my cup of tea. It is of light weight and short ( don't care for the 16 inch barrel). The action was very smooth with a very short 45 degree bolt throw...I did not try the trigger...not my gun...while innovative, I personally would not spend the asking price. Is it worth the price? To some the answer is definitely yes....

I've read a couple of tests and the web site and none of them identify (or at least I didn't see where they identified) the action. It looks similar to some benchrest actions but I'm not sure if that's the case or if it's something they make in-house.

Do you know whose action that is?

From my understanding it is all proprietary. The customer waited 14 months from payment to delivery.

Thanks. I found another article that showed some closeups of the action and I was completely wrong. Despite the outward appearance, no benchrest action would have a bolt designed like that.
