I saw one of these at a local gun store. Anybody have or have shot one. The price is 509. It is a good deal? Any thoughts would be appreciated . thanks

About $50 short of the lowest I've seen them but that was pre panic. I enjoy mine.

The Rock Islands are nice affordable 1911's, have yet to hear any issues from anyone who owns one. Go for it!

Some complain about the take down trick with the paper clip, but other then that I don't ever see anything bad about them.

I was talking to a friend about it, because I am really wanting a 3" 1911 and there reasonably priced. He told me there a pain in the ass to take down. I looked it up on yourtube and came across a video similar to this one.

Takes a little getting used to, but once you do it's not a big deal.

Agree, after you do it a couple of times it's no big deal.

First time I did mine it was a little frustrating buy not really hard to do.
