Just to clarify, he is talking about the LMT, not the new Ruger. But LMT has had the MWS system out for years, first in 5.55 and then 7.62 a couple years ago. I have 3 LMT MWS rifles and have yet to remove a barrel. LOL

Front heavy isn't that big of deal, is it? I rarely shoot free standing almost always from a rest or pod.
Nah, it's not a big deal depending on what you want to do with it. It could actually be beneficial in taming recoil, but if you shoot at moving targets or multiple targets, swinging that forward mass around is going to wear you out quick.

Got it ... pigs lounging around a feeder ... weight no big deal.

Shooting at perps running from tree to tree in a thicket ... big deal.

Jeff Quinn of Gunblast reviewed it. Said it wasn't really as heavy as he expected, or something along the likes. It's on YouTube.

I got 2 LMT MWSE and can't be happier. But sure a piston 762 cant be that bad, and sure there isn't much price diffrence 1900 vs 2400 for LMT.

Ant here get one yet? If in the Houston are I'd love to meet up and put a box through it. I am tossing around the idea so want to fire one before dumping the cash.

Nice rifle and Ruger=quality. The price is high.

The complaints about "heavy" make me laugh! It's not substantially heavier than anything similar. Besides, in a .308, you want a little mass in the rifle to absorb recoil.
