My brother tells me, "you might beat the rap, but you won't beat the ride." You'll have your weapon taken, acquire a set of cuffs, have help getting in the back of a car, pay your lawyer, and waste a lot of time. Even if wrong, the sign will be enforced based on my experience.

What "experience" is that? Specifically?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that being city owned, the airport cannot post it 30.06. Since they have, and it's wrong, can't DPS tell them to remove the signs?

DPS has no authority in this. There is no law that prevents them from posting the sign. It is just unenforceable.

Guys, all of the internet bitching is not going to change a thing. Take a moment of your time, look up the email address for the Airport Director, Airport Chief of Police, Mayor and anyone elese you can think of and write an email. Be polite and courteous. In fact, I did this with the city of Irving Convention Center. You can use MY email and change the wording to be applicable to the airport and send it. You would want to include sections on the "secured area of an airport" listed in 46.03

Otherwise you are not helping.
