For Idiot Boxafication!I mean, they make it real easy to watch Netflix, Disney, AppleTV+. Also has a real easy way to screen share (which is why we bought one). The FireCubes are basically a fire stick with an Alexa.
Watch a want it for?
I get free WiFi and the owner of the company told me to get a fire stick for TV. I bought one that was jail broke and it was just broke! I don't want another one that does not work but 1 day. No I don't have or plan on getting Alexa.
I'm about to do the same. Wife want to get local channels to watch the news. How does one go about this?Got tired of Direct TV’s price increases every 6 mo. When it went over $200, I got rid of it and went to Roku. No need for me to subscribe to anything; I don‘t even have enough time to watch a fraction of the free stuff.

Roku allows an OTA antennae to connect to some of their sticks. Otherwise, either OTA to the TV or some services carry local channels in the subscription options.
Depending how close you are to a city, over the air OTA antenna works for me. I get 65 channels living near Houston, not all are in English. My antenna is on the wall behind the TV, on the roof would work better.I'm about to do the same. Wife want to get local channels to watch the news. How does one go about this?
