So I was taking apart and cleaning my newly purchased SKS last night, and now I can't remember which way the firing pin went in.

Would the larger end or the smaller end of the pin be sticking out? I would assume it would be the smaller end, but I want to make sure (don't want any misfires). I think I know which side is the "top" from other forums on the internet, but no one says anything about which end of the pin would be sticking out.

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Between Tomball & Waller
Its been a couple of years since I have had mine apart but everything I learned I got from
Survivors SKS Boards they have all the info on SKS's.
They also have a fellow name of Murry that does firing pin conversions to prevent
it from going full auto in case the pin gets jammed in the firing position as they are free floaters.
