Even if he did invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807, exactly what would that accomplish? I don't see how that is going to ensure the integrity of our elections.

I would guess that most people already know by now. I have to assume that they just don't care. The courts didn't care. The Republicans showed on the 6th, that they don't care.

So for Trump, I fear it would be a huge mistake, as well as accomplishing nothing constructive.

I think we will all survive just fine as we have always done previously when Democrats were in power. I honestly don’t expect a whole lot to be done on gun control issues at the Federal level. The Dems in the Senate would ALL have to vote YES on any legislation and politically for some, I really don’t see that happening if they are concerned with re-election. Don’t think Biden can do much damage through EO’s on gun control, especially with a decidedly pro 2A SCOTUS. Obama sure didn’t manage to do much damage either in the 8 years he was in office, so think we will be fine.

As long as Republican/Conservative Independent/Libertarian voters don’t keep on doing stupid $hit because they are mad that Trump lost, then it should be relatively easy to take back the Senate and maybe even the House in 2022, once the nation gets a first-hand look at the ridiculous liberal agenda that the Dems will try to introduce. Keep in mind that the main reason Biden won and why Republicans lost the Senate, wasn’t because so many voters loved Biden, it was because they REALLY hated Trump! Just as the reason Trump managed to get as many votes as he did was because so many of us REALLY hated the Liberal Left Socialist agenda the Dems have become so enamored with.
IE, millions of people were actually voting AGAINST Biden and Trump rather than FOR them. If the GOP manages to present us with any good candidates at all, I think we can beat the Dems handily in 2024. Personally I think we would be very wise to back Nikki Haley as our candidate in 2024.

I agree that it will be much more difficult for Dems to get straight party votes in the Senate. When you are the majority party, the dynamics of inner party politics change significantly. Every Dem senator will demand pork from the majority leader in whatever bill is on the table. Some pork is mutually exclusive, there will be a ton of infighting. Many senators would be willing to kill the legislation if they don’t get their way. With only 50 Dem senators, any one senator has the power to kill legislation.

The concern might not be a flipped seat, but a challenge in their primary election from another Democrat candidate. Politics is a dirty game, and its most dirty within their own family.

Agreed. They may refuse to vote for an anti-gun bill if it has something else they don’t like in the bill though. For example, a Texas Democrat might refuse to vote for an anti- gun bill if the bill also proposes shutting down NASA’s facility at Clear Lake and moving it to Georgia. At the same time, the Georgia Democrat might vote against the anti-gun bill if it does not include moving NASA to Georgia.

I have been reading some of the comments saying it isn't going to be that bad and that we survived a democrap regime before. Unfortunately there has never been one quite this bad and socialist that went to the extremes they did getting into power. This isn't your normal democrap party. This is going to be the clinton gun ban on steroids, watch what they start doing to all the gun forums. I have seen this happen, and you just saw what they did to the ar15 forum. They are in the process of shutting down free speech if SCOTUS rules against them they will pad the court with radical judges which there are still a ton of them out there, we just saw that with the cases that were brought to them from the election. It seems that Trump during his speech at the border gave up the good fight, and we can go back and just let them do it, promising we are going to get them in 2022 you just wait and see.
