Boy, that Bush must be real smart, according to Libtards he's STILL RUNNING THE COUNTRY. Every issue, every decision, it's Bush this and Bush that. Gee....
Contrary to what some on the left here and elsewhere says, there may not have been that "stockpiles" of WMD's in Iraq. But there was evidence of gas manufacture, special missile carriers, and the assurance that Saddam was wanting to build up his missile range and capability. The five tons of Yellow Cake removed was old stuff, but it was there.
Add to that, people tend to forget that General Slick Willie actually sent missiles into Iraq to remove Saddam's "chemical weapons capability". Granted it was during the Lewinski matter but still.... Add to that, every democrat chimed in and wailed about the need to remove Saddam. In fact, General Wille actually declared it to be US policy to bring about regime change in Iraq. Further, when it came time to issue the final warning to Saddam, (essentially War), every democrat but one voted to proceed. That one was idiotic Kuchinich, who would vote against going to war with Hitler if he could. He wouldn't vote to swat a mosquito if it was sucking his blood.
We tend to forget too that in early 2001, due to the length of the Florida vote challenge, Bush was 2-3 months late selecting his cabinet. Remember too how Hill and Bill's people sabotaged the white house upon leaving, removing the keys to keyboards, and the silverware. Democrats still fought him tooth and nail, they were enraged over Florida, took endless days to approve his cabinet. They HATED Ashcroft because he was pro 2nd Amendment. I can still recall Ted Kennedy in a rage, blood vessels popping out, castrating Ashcroft.
Then the quest to pass Bush's first tax cuts. Demos moved into gridlock range. The Chinese seizing our spy plane, demos said they would have Bush for lunch. He handled it masterfully. Then the fascination with the missing intern, the congressman from Cal being a suspect (forgot her and his name).
All that precluded 9/11 where Bush was following the Clinton philosophy, and his CIA.
When 9/11 hit, it all changed, Bush got mad, the nation demanded action, even recently saw a video of Dan Blather on Letterman 9/12 and they were discussing how long before we attack Iraq. Liberals actually talking action? Who would have thunk it?
The rest, as they say, is history. (and too long for this post)
