Next session could be full of win
Hopefully Rhonda Seth will win, but I already saw somewhere on Facebook someone else announcing they are running for the seat. No doubt the powers that be will be backing someone new to control, all that money Bonnen raised for re-election will have to go somewhere.
I don’t doubt there could be several contenders now.
He never said he was opposed to CC. The video you're referring to doesn't say that at ALL - furthermore, that was made several years ago. But go ahead and pit pro-2nd forces against each other - it's furthers the anti-gun agenda quite well.
I'm not defending anyone but wake up and smell the coffee. She tries to get stuff done fighting with a RINO who is anti-gun. Publicly state what he is and call a spade a spade will get you exactly nowhere with him. Just piss him off and make your job impossible. Probably couldn't even get an audience much less do some good.
Your new guy said that he started a concealed handgun license class because he was worried about people carrying without proper training. That statement says to me that he is against CC.
That video was uploaded to youtube on Jul 2, 2018. The term CHL was changed to LTC in January 2016 so the video was made sometime after that. So it is not very old. I would think that it was made for youtube and was probably made in 2018. Although I don't know that for sure.
Your statement about me pitting 2 pro-2nd against each other is absolutely ridiculous and nothing more than you attempting to demonize me for stating the facts about the TSRA.
The video was made by guns.com and was uploaded to their site the same day that it was uploaded to youtube, Jul 2, 2018. So apparently it is a little over a year old.
Hey, I'm as pro-CC & 2A as anyone you'll ever find; however, I'll always be a huge proponent of training. Not as a "barrier to entry" but as a really smart thing to do if you're a responsible person. Everybody needs training. Everybody.
Is that like saying "I am all for the 2A, but............"?
Don't get me wrong, training is a good thing.
So, YOU are going to put words in his mouth that he NEVER said, eh? Nice. What it says to ME is that he IS concerned about folks carrying without the training they need - nothing about that the MUST have it, but that he thinks they should. Is he not allowed to feel that way in your world?
I'm not trying to demonize you for what you say - but you certainly are me.
Not at all - unless someone says folks shouldn't be allowed UNLESS they've had the training, then they're making a sensible suggestion. It's like my fight many years ago to do away with helmet laws for motorcycles...I was leaving a meeting with Zaffarini's staff just before the final vote, and she commented "I guess you can't wait to ride without a helmet!" I looked at her, helmet in hand and said "No, ma'am - I don't ride without a helmet, even if the law says I can. I just don't want the State to tell me what I CHOOSE to do for my pesonal safety."
