    What do you have?
    or What have you used?

Looking to spot holes at 1000 yds.
Would prefer an angled eyepiece, but not a requirement.

    Leaning wireless target cam, now.
    :)

I don't want to have to wait for perfect weather to read a target.

Looks cheaper than a 1000 yard capable spotting scope, or 500 yard for that matter.

I might be a little worried about hitting it, depending on what I was shooting.

    Hopefully you're shooting your target....lol

I'm trying to think of a way of mounting it to the target frame so that the antenna is above the pit when the target is raised.

    Lol

I was thinking about earlier today when I was shooting a 17 at 300 yards in a 15mph crosswind. Never shot past 200 with it and the wind pushes them pretty good. Also shooting unsupported kneeling.

Those are the situations I worry about, but a guard could be easily built to stop a .17 round.

At your house, you could probably build a bird house for the camera, and hardwire it to a power supply.
We mortals have to drive to the shooting range.

    Ha.

For the cost of wire these day to run power, I'd just carry it back and forth.

I'm half mortal, I can't shoot past 300 here and since Hicksville shit down the 600 yard range it may be a while before I go past that distance again.

Not a big deal though, still got plenty of improving to do before I have any real need to shoot further.

Gonna watch for a review if you go with a camera system.

I just use my scope but I shoot steel from 500-1000 so spots are pretty easy to spot. I can spot 6mm holes easy at 400yds.

I went on a guided hunt in Northern Utah, last year, guides has 2 different Swarovski spotters, one with angled eye piece, both guides were using a Scopecam. My shot was videotaped with one through the spotting scope. I bought one and have used it on my Nikon

I bought a used Leupold Kenai 25-60x80 off Ebay about a year ago. So far the longest I've used it for is .223 holes at 300yds, and .17 holes at 200 yds. See them without a problem. Wish I had a better tripod though.

I've looked through a Kowa, worked great for watching the bullet trail, but couldn't discern bullet holes at 600. :(

Looking to spot holes at 1000 yds.

They better be some big ass holes (no pun intended).
    I had a Leupy Sequoia (about $300).
I could see out to 150.
Sold it and got the Pentax 65EDII (about $1k)
I can see paper holes to about 350.
I need something better to see holes out farther and will have to spend about $3k.
Even still I don't know that it is possible out to 1K yds.
    I could be wrong.
