Looks cheaper than a 1000 yard capable spotting scope, or 500 yard for that matter.
I might be a little worried about hitting it, depending on what I was shooting.
Hopefully you're shooting your target....lol
I'm trying to think of a way of mounting it to the target frame so that the antenna is above the pit when the target is raised.

I was thinking about earlier today when I was shooting a 17 at 300 yards in a 15mph crosswind. Never shot past 200 with it and the wind pushes them pretty good. Also shooting unsupported kneeling.
Those are the situations I worry about, but a guard could be easily built to stop a .17 round.
I've looked through a Kowa, worked great for watching the bullet trail, but couldn't discern bullet holes at 600.
Even at 60X ?
Looking to spot holes at 1000 yds.
