    Helotes!
Personally, I like the Springfield grips on mine (which is why they are still on it!).

But if I were ever to swap them out, I would go with something like these. They're called "Sweetheart grips" and they were big during WWII! Soldiers used either pics of loved ones or pin-up girls!

Many of the grips were made from the broken plastic of bomber windows! :D

    Cheers! M2

I've heard of those before, they're nice!

I relieved my favorite set of grips for the ambi safety, and it works perfect, but I don't know if I like them better on the gun than the stock ones

What is wrong with Tiger Stripes?

Am I the butt of some joke and don't know it?

At least it is an Armscor GI model that I didn't like the parkerized finish on and not a Baer or Wilson.

Plus if I get tired of it (or get too much ridicule) I can always Cerokote it again.

I actually love tiger stripes on some guns lol. It's just that I wouldn't do it on this specific 1911.

They look awesome on yours though. I'd carry the hell out of that.

    Thanks.

You are correct. If someone did that to a purty piece like yours, they should be taken to the woodshed.

Lol thanks. I found these Hogue rosewood laminate mag well grips in my cabinet. Coulda sworn I had sold them a long time ago. They were already 80% milled for ambi safety cut, so I finished the other 20% and may have gone a bit overboard but it's hard to notice.

I think I'm going to keep these on for now. They're more like the factory grips but less red with more of a faint pinkish hue. They were pink when I got them but I dipped them in cherry wood finish about 2 years ago to get them darker.

OK, for your NEXT 1911 (there's always a next one), I recommend the original...COLT.

That's what I told myself when I sold my Springfield GI. Said the next one will be a Colt, if not a Wilson or a Baer. I do like the 1918 reproductions

That's like saying Alex's starfish is tighter than a gay male hooker's is, and we all know that isn't true
