Yeah, I suspect they both could use some extra training (...or any training, for that matter). But that’s a different discussion... nobody got shot and the “protesters” had the good sense to stay off their lawn (AND keep moving). It’s never a good last day on earth when you’re wearing dirty underwear and an ANTIFA mask! (You can quote me on that).

Good idea to confront the mob on ground level, or defend from within the stone structure at a higher level?

IMHO, they were trying to deter violence so a show of force was better than taking a defensive position. If they retreated to their house, the rioters may have attacked, requiring a response.

Some folks (not pointing at anyone in particular) are really ragging on this couple. Making fun of them.

But at least they did something.

Could they have done it better? Okay. Could they have shown better muzzle discipline? Yep.

But they did something to take a stand. No one was killed or wounded, and a message was sent.

Concur, though I think there’s truth in the old adage that we pick on those we most love.

Also, I’ve never been in an AAR that did not focus on mistakes that were made and how they can be avoided or tactics, techniques, and procedures that can be improved upon.
