    "Premises" means a building or a portion of a building. The
    term does not include any public or private driveway, street, sidewalk
    or walkway, parking lot, parking garage, or other parking area.

    Subsections (b)(4), (b)(5), (b)(6), and (c) do not apply if the actor
    was not given effective notice under Section 30.06
    b4 = Hospital - they must post 30.06
    b5 = amusement park - they must post 30.06
    b6 = Churches and such - they must post 30.06
    c = A license holder commits an offense if the license holder intentionally,
    knowingly, or recklessly carries a handgun under the authority
    of Subchapter H. Chapter 411, Government Code, regardless of,whether the
    handgun is concealed, at any meeting of a governmental entity.

    City hall meeting must post 30.06
    Just make sure the court does not have
    an office on the Premises as defined above

    I am not an attorney so take this with a grain, or block of salt

    What about state parks? Some state parks are leased from the feds. Did the feds ever pass that law to make it OK in federal parks as long as it didn't violate the local state laws?

    Just curious as to why list 7-13 that are not Statuatory no carry zones (since they all must be posted with signage)? Just wondering if you had a reason, obviously you knew they weren't.

    What? On his list, 7 thru 10 are off limits without any signage.

    Thanks for the embed edit TX it helps.

    You changed 9 to show sporting event and added a few
    Although you are 100% correct I truncated it to "interscholastic event" since school sporting events are just that IMO.

    (2) on the premises where a high school, collegiate, or professional sporting event or interscholastic event is taking place, unless the license holder is a participant in the event and a handgun is used in the event;

    The attempt of the OP is "KISS" for those of us who need a cheat sheet to help remember if you can or can not carry at any given non 30.06 posted location.

    For an example there are some cities that have local ordinances that say CHL's can not carry in city parks - not a valid law but you know the saying "beat the rap but not the ride"

    The new National Park carry law goes into effect in February 2010.
    State parks set the rules on federal leased land

    Here is the letter from the Director of TPWD

    Would a non interscholastic (more than one school) school event at a public park that is not a sporting event be what your discussing?

    Example;
    Kids class goes to the city library as a school sanctioned event for a few hours be the exception?
