    Steyr AUG A3 M1 or IWI X95?

I'm going back and forth between these two... I've already decided its going to be between either of these. Coolness and nostalgia factors mean absolutely nothing. Gotta be reliable. Cost of upgrading x95 trigger to the gieselle is also not an issue.

So for the purpose of front seat of patrol car, with the assumption of being on scene during an active shooter situation once per week and serving felony warrants/clearing houses, which of these two would you depend on and why?
    Thanks for your input!

    Out here by the lake!
I have an older AUG that I bought new thinking I would one day buy a registered trigger pack for. Can't do that with an IWI X95! It's something I have thought about selling after I bought my M-16

IWI Tavor is great gun, I own one with a geissele trigger. If I had to find a place to put it in a squad car, I would sell it and buy the svelter AUG. 'nuff said.
You might want to look at a Sig MCX too. With the folding stock you get a lot of options.

Where the hell are you driving a patrol car that you have weekly active shooter calls?

Are you able to carry what ever you want?
Nope. Its got to be a rifle by ATF standards by overall length and barrel. No sbr. So I want something with a 16 inch barrel and overall length of 28 inches.

If a call goes out of a shooting, followed by another, then it's an active shooter. When in hindsight we find 2 shooters targeting 2 or more specific people, but yea there's been a lot of activity lately. It is abnormal, but I've run code to 4 such scenes over the span of a month. And served a felony takedown and a warrant on two of them. So I need a new gun.

Son's dept lets him carry a suppressed .556 SBR....

In addition to the front seat...a braced MPX pistol and a braced 10 inch Pro Series semi auto Black Aces 12 ga.

Don't even ask what he carries in the back................

I'm surprised that one could carry the type of weapons the OP is asking about.

ETA: More so something not an AR platform.
