    Sorta back on target. A 460S&W may fit in a 410 chamber but it will blow the gun...
    There is no reason S&W can't build an X frame "long" to take a 3" 410 shot shell.
    You could shoot 45 colt, 454, 460 and 410.

    keep in mind guys, im not trying to simply make your average .410 a whale gun, im thinking more along the lines of a home made gun, made to handle the pressures we are talking about.

    even a modified .450 or .50 ar15 upper.

    i just need to buy a mill and a lathe and some gear and jsut start building this crap.

    That reminds me I have a H&r single shot in 50 S&W. They make one in 460. Maybe they can run a 410 reamer in it for you.
    JD jones of SKS industries might also have a encore barrel and reamers to make them.
