I own 2 months worth of clothes.

I can literally go out of town for 2 months without doing laundry.

I hate doing laundry (because it's woman's work and I just don't have time or energy while on the road) so I would just buy more clothes over the years as needed.

I can't say I have that much, although I come close with tee shirts. Seems I get a new tee shirt about once a month from the college, I keep coming across one that I hadn't worn in a long time that I forgot I had.

My son left this summer with a dresser full of t-shirts that still fit him. He came back with even more of the same size shirt that his mom bought him. He now has 47 short sleeved shirts.

As I keep telling my wife, I am not going to live enough years to wear out or even wear all the clothes you buy me. And I am not talking about stuff off the rack from Wal Mart. The good news is my wife is a power buyer on e bay and she gets my stuff off e bay from stores going out of business or closing out lines etc. She pays pennies on the dollar.

This was in 1976.

Chip was in town to visit my friend Scott Kleberg, they met in school at TMI.
Scott wasn't in town, so his mother asked me to take him to eat at Kings Inn.
