The average price for Superbowl III tickets was $12. Equivalent to about $95 in today's dollars.
My stepfather was from Wisconsin. He bought the tickets before the playoffs thinking the Packers were sure to be in the Superbowl a third time. We lived on Grand Bahama Island at the time, so Miami was just about a half hour flight from there. I was a Johnny Unitas fan at the time, so I was excited to watch him play in person. The Jets weren't suppose to win DAMMIT!

Ha! I'd nearly forgotten that you were the role model for Hank Snow's "I've Been Everywhere".

Stepfather was a dealer (blackjack) in Las Vegas, he was offered a lot of money to be a blackjack inspector at the El Casino in the Bahamas. When my mother divorced him in 1971, my mother and I moved back to Las Vegas. I lived in Freeport and then Lucaya while living from February 1968 to November 1971 on Grand Bahama Island. I was aged 10 to 14 then.

When we sleep our eyes are not completely shut. A small crack remains in the eyelids and that is how you can wake up with dry eye if there is a fan blowing on you. It is also the reason doctors tell you to get better sleep do so in a dark room as your eye can still be reporting to the brain if there is that damn television going on like a disco flashing floor.

1965 to 1970 Kennedy halves are 80% silver. According to a pawn shop owner today. (They aren't; they're 40%.) He argued with me. My cash and I left while he was trying to pull out a "book" to "show me." All of this after one of his clerks (whom I've bought from before) told me they needed to clear that case out for remodeling.
No prices on anything, so I'm sure the price would have been double what it should have been.
