Yeah! Lol.Way to go! You tell'em!

Yooouuu don't need roads. Jk. Lol.You're not forced to drive on Toll roads here. At least we have roads here in Texas. Oregon hasn't built a new freeway in how long?
Oregon plates are good for two years. If you live in a metro area you have to go to DEQ to be inspected. There's no sales tax but there is a 9% or higher income tax. If you live in Portland there's the Art tax.

Hunting and fishing licenses here are MUCH cheaper than Oregon. You're also allowed to take more than one deer. You can fish with as many rods as you want without having to pay extra for it.
I'm a 100% disabled Veteran. Texas, for me is a much better place. In Oregon I got a free hunting and fishing license but still had to buy all the other tags and endorsements. I had free plates on one vehicle. I received a 6% discount on my property taxes. That's about it.
Here in Texas I get a free Super Combo Pack for hunting and fishing. All I need to buy is a Federal Duck Stamp if I want to hunt waterfowl. It runs me $3 a year for one vehicle and my 3/4 ton truck is about $70 a year. I pay no property taxes, I get a free drivers license and discounted LTC. I don't have to pay any income tax either.
Let's not get into the much lower cost of living here in Texas.

No income tax?
Is that due to 100% disabled vet?
While I admire Ken Paxton’s ability to get a “guns aren’t the problem” piece in USAyesterday, ask yourself this: How much will it cost and who’s going to pay?...
...
There’s about 93,000 schools serving 50 million students daily. Let’s assume we harden up all those targets. What do you do about sports stadiums, parking lots, bus stops, and off-campus events?...
I'm sorry, I totally misread that and don't know how.If you mean property tax then yes it's due to being 100% broken.
I don't live in the metro area. You can't file 9 percent in Oregon and not get raped. Oregon's art tax is a complete pile of shat. As far as roads in Oregon go...oregon needs an audit. Its all I can say. This state has been shady for decades. I do not believe in tolls though. Want to collect funds from my check? My property tax? Fine. Just do not bother me asking for money as I'm traveling enjoying my day or say I need a toll tag in my truck to travel. And oregon doesn't need more roads. It needs walls to prevent Californians and folks from Washington traveling in.Oregon plates are good for two years. If you live in a metro area you have to go to DEQ to be inspected. It's 'cause you are special.Funny, my Oregon plates were good for 4 years.
The citizens of Allen ISD passed a bond package a few years back to build a freakin Football stadium of $62 Million.
In most cases, there already is a police presence at stadiums for sporting events and off-campus events such as graduations.
I'm assuming his disability pay is not taxed, just like mine.I'm sorry, I totally misread that and don't know how.
ETA: I didn't misread it.
You DO state that you don't pay any income tax.
Why is that?

https://www.nasdaq.com/article/9-states-with-no-income-tax-cm930874Texas is one of seven states with no state tax.
Very familiar with that bond issue. School bonds in TX are repaid thru property tax.
I’ve been involved in NSSE execution at sporting event facilities on 3 continents. Even USSS protection measures focus on the principal and not everyone.
When you declare the principals of a protection mission are 3,000 students, it’s not achievable.
I'm just saying that football is such a high priority that property owners are willing to pay. Why not try to pass a bond to pay for School security?
Have there been multiple mass shootings at HS sporting events, graduations, drama productions, etc where a police presence tends to be the norm? Potential shooters know that there will be armed officers at those events that will provide some resistance, hence they do not target them.
