Got my latest renewal notification a few days ago.
Will be taking care of all tomorrow. Hopefully old prints will still suffice.
Prints should still be good, especially if you got digital prints done before. The only thing I had to send in was the renewal application and the money.

Re-applying to Texas. It has been nearly 15 years since my first one expired and I got Oklahoma.
only thing left is Fingerprints tomorrow at 08:30. Oddly enough, when I went to get my TXDL I got the same number I received in 1975.

    Not uncommon.
TDL expired around 1969 when I was out of the country serving consecutive oversea's tours.
Got the same TDL number when I reapplied in 1973. Same TDL number I've had since 1957.

Hah! Musta' got your TDL at about age 5 or 6, right?

    14. TDL Issued November 12, 1957.

Was working for a landscape company and had to drive the crews truck, and I'd been driving all that summer without a license. Turned 14 in August and the boss insisted I take Driver's Ed and get legal.

Wasn't that big of a deal back then. ;)

My brother got his license at 14 as well.
Law was changed shortly after that.

That rationale for 14, IIRC, was that we were driving farm equipment from field to field on the roads anyway. Most of Texas was still mostly rural back then, even right outside of the city limits of the bigger towns.

Way back, when there were no Tide Pods to eat ...
