    Out here by the lake!
What a little ingrate. After eating steak & a big bone Renfield decide to go AWOL. I work up with the meat sweats & let him out while I went to the bathroom. Most of his other escapes he's has come when called. Sure can't yell for a dog @ 2:47 am.

My guess he spotted something & went for the chase. Hope it aint a skunk! I would go out looking for him in the car but he won't load up, & the fog is thick. Name tag has the wife's old cell number.

It will definitely suck if he's gone for good.

We'll likely get big dogs before long -
I wouldn't mind one of these, but who knows what will appear!
IMO - the best dogs are the ones that show up and choose us.

Unsolicited advice from un Viejo: Never feed animals when Humans are eating. I train mine to know this, and to act accordingly. Dog begging @ table is inappropriate. I usually feed dog first, and/or let them outside before serving people.

Thanks - but we have different ways on this.
I do draw the line, however, at letting them lick the plates. :christmas:

There is a good chance he’ll come home.
You don’t need another loss this soon.
    Good Luck

    That’s OK, too. . . . .;

I am what one might call a “dog disciplinarian”. Ours don’t eat w/ people, touch furniture, or get into our bed.

Beau sleeps on a little rug under my bedside desk, and has finally started to use a Cabela’s “dog bed” when the WX is cold.

Animals should be as much of a pleasure, and as little trouble, as practical.

    See Beau:

BTW, Beau, approaching 4.5 years, is getting terribly horny. Anyone having a Lab, Golden, Chessie, etc. bitch needing “service”, please send a p.m. via TGT. Beau is “AKC”, no hip problem , is from duck & goose hunting dogs.

Our other domestic terror machine is a 12 yo one-eye’d feral Quaker parrot, “Oiseau”, short for “L’Oiseau Verte d’Enfer” (The Green Bird from Hell en Francais).

Hmm. I might need to think on that. Is Beau out of English labs? He kind of looks like it. Penny is out of English field dogs too. She's at a point where I need to get her bred or not.
