I believe this is the full platform the RPT came up with for those that are curious.

Hmmm. We have two liberal media outlets supporting your view. The homeless issue is liberal policy. Denver now requires you to register your AR. I'm not clicking those links.
Environmental impact??? That's an absolute lie on their part. Industrial hemp has been grown before. One trait of cannabis, is that it cleans soil. Any pollution in the dirt is taken up by the plant. Paper, textiles, and plastics can be made of such but you're not told that. You have to research it on your part. No spoon.
The ER being filled up? That's an old one. Remember it's for the safety of children.
Sounds like funding from big pharma. No mention of pi$sed out pills messing with your fresh water...
ALL of these WILL happen if you legalize recrational MJ... even if you don't believe me, I'll search up this post and be the biggest "I told you so" asshole youve ever seen.I don’t care what you what to smoke, eat, chew, shoot in your arm, injest, drink or otherwise
Here are my rules :
1. Do it on your property or property where the lawful owner is okay with it.
2. Don’t drive or do anything else out in public where the effects of what you are smoking, eating, chewing, shooting in your arm, injesting or drinking, can cause you to kill or harm other people.
3. I don’t want to pay for your medical bills, or your lazy ass when you don’t work and need to eat or in any other way shape or fashion be encumbered by your expense to society including crime like theft, prostitution, murder, or larceny that people commit so they can get money to pay for their drugs.
You do whatever you want to , as long as you can pay for it and it doesn’t end up hurting anyone else and costing the taxpayers in any way.
My impact on society is a net positive. In other words, I am self sustaining. I work , pay taxes, am involved in civic activities and volunteer monthly at a food bank and other places. I fully support a family of 4, who also are no charge to society and volunteer in the community every week.
Just by looking at mugshots every day, I see most of the arrest are somehow drug related. These people are a DRAIN on my community and cost money to support that is paid by people like me.
So you can do anything with your body that you want to as long as your are not a drain on society and cost other people money.
....If it’s legal coast to coast you don’t get any “migration”
And what state did you leave, partially because you witnessed those very things happening? (To a much greater degree, I lived in Colorado for 20 years and watched it transform) If you don't think it's happening there, you're not paying attention. I've seen people that were useful members of society literally stop giving a shit... and you can think "that's their problem, not mine" all you want, but when it happens to enough people everything "goes to pot" (I really get that saying now)Lol some of this rhetoric is so nuts. Squatters in the parks? Crime rate that’s gonna soar? Really. I don’t doubt some of these states that have already legalized pot have seen this but they are currently one of the few so they are drawing some of the dregs of society. I can’t argue that fact. But........If it’s legal coast to coast you don’t get any “migration” of stoners cause they can get high where ever they are. This wouldn’t be Marijuana Armageddon.
I too have always believed and Co turns to believe what you do in your own privacy is your own business. Don’t drive impaired & don’t infringe on others. Despite what the general idea is of pot smokers not all of them are lazy, jobless, welfare leaches on society. I know plenty of folks that fit this description and don’t smoke any pot. They’re just lazy ass leaches.
This is a conversation, I just don't know how to convey just how stupid legalizing recreational MJ would be without "being mean"... You just can't do it, it's not taken seriously. If I have to be the designated asshole, I'm fine with that.I don’t understand the shallow comment? I also think it needs to be decriminalize by the feds as well. Sorry if I didn’t make that clear in my Comments. I still think most of the other observations on what you witnessed would possibly be a mute point if it was decriminalized at the federal level. Sure I could be wrong. I didn’t move here from another state. Born & raised. I Not a liberal. Don’t be so mean. It’s just my opinion. We should be able to have these conversations shouldn’t we?
Thank you for at least hearing me out... in the end, it will be up to the masses.Gotcha. Your point has been made.
That is always the start, so lets make all drug use recreational which is what it is. I've had many friends that are weekend drug users. Several of them we well paid senior executives in large corps, but between Fri and Sunday ole Bob and his wife Cam could snort a LOT of cocaine or Larry who enjoyed a nice hit of sugar cube (LSD) after he came home after work.Yes I say totally legalize it, regulate, tax, & decriminalize it. Stoners are typically less dangerous than drunks in a few ways (except to a tube of Pringles & a Dr Pepper) they will tear that shit up!
It’s time to decriminalize marijuana.
The masses rarely make the right choice. Alcohol is legal and look how many issues there are with that. DV, drunk driving, health effects of alcoholism, broken families.Thank you for at least hearing me out... in the end, it will be up to the masses.
I never said they'd get it right... just that I'm under no illusion that I have any actual control. The masses rarely make the right choice. Alcohol is legal and look how many issues there are with that. DV, drunk driving, health effects of alcoholism, broken families.
I don’t understand the shallow comment?
As Moonpie said,
Toker tax, just like the tobacco tax. (Maybe that would help keep property taxes more affordable).
https://www.thedenverchannel.com/ne...ted-deaths-increasing-at-epidemic-proportionsare we still talking about marijuana? some of this sounds like crack and heroin.

Is the Texas legislature much more disciplined on spending? because Colorado said it was going to be used to fund schools, and would not go to the general fund or special interest projects..Lord I hope so.
