Yup. Only applies to loaded, sprung weight.
Wouldn't it be loaded as soon as the spring starts to compress? Taking coils away reduces the amount of the material that absorbs the force on it, raising the overall force needed to compress it. I can see removing coils to reduce pre-load and reducing the initial force required to compress the spring. Is that what we're talking about here?

If the spring is 1/2' long and compressed to a length of 1/4", you reduce the load by cutting the spring down to 3/8".

I don't think we know what you're talking about.

Yes, but if the spring length is shortened BUT the amount of travel unaltered, the tension will be lowered.

Of course we are arguing over 1lb on someone else's gun so, IDRGAS! ;)

Ben, I recall requesting a chronograph a while back. Nix that if you're bringing it on my account.

Oh, gotta load the big steel plate. Dawico has trampoline frame for hanging it. Is chain or whatever included? I have none that would work.

if I missed something, please remind me.
    Thanks!

    I'm not being clear. Sorry.

It's an XP-100 pistol, just like the Fireball you saw before.

However, this one is factory chambered in .35 Remington. Remington chambered them in several cartridges other than .221 Fireball.

I'll come back and edit with a picture in a few minutes.

ETA - OK, the picture is lousy and fogged up because I took my camera from the cold house outside and didn't wait long enough. However, it should give you an idea what I'm talking about.

BTW - Others have already shot it but since that time, it's gained an optic and a Dewey trigger. I'm really liking this pistol now.

Nice list of stuff Vaq, here's my much shorter list.

I might bring a small steel plate to destroy.

I need to bring the black foam stuff for Curtis, or YG has dibs if Curtis doesn't want it
I need to bring all that loose brass for Duckknot
And I have laid claim to one of Rebel's rifle cases

If I missed anything, let me know

I'm going to take you up on that. I only have the Oehler left and it's too much of a pain to wrestle with while I'm trying to do some actual shooting.

I'm dead set on actually shooting three guns this time. Given breaks for shootin' the bull, that'll take all day.

Remember folks, I'm bringing 3 boxes (I could have sworn I had more) of .25 ACP for folks who want to use their old heirlooms.

    I'm also setting up a 6" AR500 plate at 100 yards.

I may come back and edit this if I remember more obligations.

    I don't know if I can hit a 6" plate at 100 yards with a 25 ACP.
