If Dud Phelan had any balls, he would recognize the Dem Reps' action as a notice of resignation and declare their seats empty. That would cause a quorum and allow Abbott to temporarily fill the vacancies until new elections are held.

If the Dems don't like it, they can come back to Texas and file suit.....and be promptly arrested and sequestered....

Since the Demons have fled to DC to stop the legislature, I have some suggestions.

1. Cite the fact that they have abandoned their jobs and appoint new members.
2. Since the Capitol Police think they need branch offices in other cities and the states even though they have no jurisdiction, declare that Texas DPS need temporary offices in DC until permanent offices are found, move a bunch of school buses up and enough DPS officers to arrest the bastards, Put them in the temporary offices and drive it back to Austin.
3. Subpoena their Emails and text messages with call logs to determine if outsiders have been suggesting things to interfere with their performance of office and prosecute them.
4. Follow thee money. It should be documented and not be allowed to be counted as political contributions. They should be required to pay taxes on it.
