What bike, and where are you located? I used to make a living as a bike mechanic.

Well you're not close to me and I'm not familiar with that model, but if it has no spark the battery would be the first suspect. Modern electronic ignitions are very fussy about having enough voltage; check your battery with a volt meter and if it isn't putting out 13.5 volts then get a new one. Also, check the fuses and relays to make sure there's not one pertaining to ignition that is blown. Plugs are also cheap to replace if there's any doubt about them. Make sure plug wires are in good shape also. If those things don't work, then you'll be looking at the coil(s) next. Coils don't go bad very often but they can crack and short out. You can test them with an ohm meter but I don't have the specs for Yamaha coils.

    Good luck!
