I do not know what happened or why but my vortex HST 24x50 scope is broken. It has been on my 308 for I believe over a year now and has always held zero perfect. The other day I went to the range and the zero was way way off! Took it to the 25 yard lane to try to zero it in again and it still was not even on paper. Tried to do a bore sight and I was able to get it on paper but it was still shooting very high at 25 yards and I had no elevation left to go down. When I got home I inspected the rings and rail to make sure everything was still tight and they were. The rifle was not dropped or hit on anything that I know of. I took the scope off and closer inspection of it I realized that the reticle was not in the center of the scope. The cross hairs were off center up and to the right. I called vortex and they are no questions asked going to fix or replace for free (soon as I get my lazy butt to the post office and ship it).
What could of caused this? Again I know I did not drop the scope or bang it against anything at least that I can think of.
