What thickness are you turning the LC necks to, or are you just cleaning them up?

12 thousandths . A fellow at the rifle club told me that years ago when he shot hi-power, that gave him the best results with 3 thousandths neck tension. So far it has been working great for me with 130 gr Speers. This rifle has a 1:14 twist

Thanks! Have been getting very good results lately with Peterson match brass, turned to 14 thousandths and 2 thou neck tension on 125gr SMKs for my bolt gun. Have some once fired LC brass that I plan to use for a gas gun (SCAR 20s), hence my query to you. All of my brass gets annealed before each sizing.

I'm assuming some differences in brass lot to lot, so do you know what the average thickness of the LC necks was before turning? Thanks again!!

150 .308Win (175gr SMKs over IMR 4064), 100 .30BR (50 w 110gr V-Max, 50 w 110gr Nosler Varmageddon, both over LT-30), and 100 .308Win (125gr SMK over IMR 3031). 175s are for a gas gun and loaded to approximate Federal GM. 125s are a precision short range load for my bolt gun. Bullets seated at 45 thou from lands is a strong node for this rifle.

I haven't paid any attention in months. What's the latest on availability of primers, bullets, powder?

I checked a few sites and it seems about the same, almost everything gone but prices are higher ($95/1000 for primers at Natchez... wtf lol).

Still scarce, but getting better in fits and starts. TSUSA has primers pretty regularly, but 12-13 cents per is just silly. Brunos had SPPs (I think) for 8 cents late last week. Obviously, depends on which bullets/powder you are looking for, but if you hunt for them regularly and pounce as soon as they become available, they can be had. Gotta be willing to pay the price, though.

Use of bots and Discord has been VERY helpful to me over the last year or so...

I was hitting discord hard when I was stocking up. Helped me secure several thousand SPPs and some powder. I still can’t believe they’re 9.5 cents each right now.

Did some accuracy tests with 6.5 CM. Last weekend. 42.2 H4350, Hornady Brass, Cci 34 LRP, 2.800 Coal. Had previously chronograph this combo with the 140 ELDM’s was getting 2800fps with a 5 sd. Rifle didn’t like the 140 ELD-M. It really liked the Nosler CC. Barnes Match Burners, the 140 smk did pretty good also BC272689-6DB6-4B95-9A75-78244D4E8D0B.jpeg AC1F1B17-756F-49F1-B562-B98DE51FE031.jpeg FE435FE7-5B97-4B3F-80ED-CCE39D45DD52.jpeg

Sent some 6.5 creedmoor across the chrono today. First load was with 140 grain BTHP’s and IMR4350. This was the second time trying to clock this load. First time I tried to chrono them, battery was dead when I got to the range. I shot them anyway, and got excellent groups, just over 1/4”! Shot great again today, .34” 5 shot group, but speed wasn’t where I thought it would be. Average of 2604 with a SD of 10. Shot some 140 ELD match with Superformance across the chrono too. Best group was just under 1/2” with similar numbers as the BTHP’s, averaging about 2600 fps with a SD of 11. Guess that’s my rifles “sweet spot”.

Picked up the last 2 storage containers for my new bench set up. All I need now is a new bench top, and cut down one of my rolling workbenches and I should be done and complete!
